Miami (en anglais [maɪˈæmi] ou [maɪˈæmə]) est une ville des États-Unis, centre financier et culturel de niveau international, située au sud-est de l'État de Floride. La population du chef-lieu du comté de Miami-Dade est de 399 457 habitants1 en 2010, ce qui fait de Miami la seconde commune de Floride derrière Jacksonville et la 44eville des États-Unis. Ville de loisirs et de distractions, c'est une station balnéaire renommée qui fait partie d'un chapelet de stations renommées depuis Key West, Miami est le premier pôle urbain d'une vaste agglomération de 5 564 635 habitants (2010), la huitième des États-Unis (après Washington et devant Atlanta). Son port touristique est le premier port de navires de croisières, avec un tiers de la flotte mondiale.
Le Grand Miami englobe de nombreuses communes qui lui prêtent une allure à la fois urbaine et rurale. La ville de Miami, par opposition à son agglomération, est non seulement formée du centre-ville (3,8 km²), à l'embouchure de la rivière, mais aussi de plusieurs communautés comme Coconut Grove qui, malgré leur annexion, ont su conserver leur individualité.
En raison de ses relations économiques, culturelles et linguistiques avec l'Amérique du Nord, l'Amérique du Sud, l'Amérique centrale et les Caraïbes, cette ville mondiale est surnommée « Passage des Amériques » ou « Porte des Amériques ». Cette grande place portuaire est l'un des grands centres hispanophones des États-Unis autant par les puissants liens économiques de la Floride avec l'Amérique latine que par une importante minorité cubaine, toutefois en voie d'assimilation par son mode de vie américain. Ce pôle urbain, dont certains quartiers montrent une forte concentration de populations noires, est aussi francophone par sa minorité haïtienne, qui cumule les legs de la pauvreté. Sa population globale qui répond à la vieille définition du Melting pot est bigarrée.
Le centre-ville de Miami vit depuis quelques années un renouvellement urbain. Les habitants sont .

Principaux immeubles


Actuellement, le plus grand gratte-ciel de Miami est le Four Seasons Hotel Miami avec 242 m de haut et 72 étages, achevé en 2003. Il est suivi par l'immeuble de bureaux Wachovia Financial Center de 233 m, inauguré en 1984. Plusieurs édifices sont actuellement en construction. De nombreux projets existent dont certains, comme les Empire World Towers ou One Bayfront Plaza, prévoient la construction de gratte-ciel de plus de 300 m de haut. Si tous les projets et constructions actuels arrivent à terme, Miami pourrait devenir en 2010 le troisième panorama urbain du pays, après New York et Chicago

Transport aérien




L'aéroport international de Miami fait partie des trente principaux aéroports du monde : 35 millions de passagers y transitent par an. C'est la quatrième porte d'entrée du pays pour les voyageurs aériens étrangers après l'aéroport international O'Hare de Chicago, l'aéroport international John-F.-Kennedy et l'aéroport international de Los Angeles. The tourism sector ranked as the 4th largest among goods and services export sectors.[1]
In year 2014, 9.4 million international visitors entered Indonesia,[2] staying in hotels for an average of 7.5 nights and spending an average of US$1,142 per person during their visit, or US$152.22 per person per day.[3] Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia, and Japan are the top five sources of visitors to Indonesia.

Today, tourism is a major source of income for many countries, and affects the economy of both the source and host countries, in some cases it is of vital importance.
